Data and sources
Every figure on UniEuropa comes from an official source. We do not use rankings, forums or third-party aggregators.
Tuition fees
- Spain: regional decrees on public prices for each academic year; private universities only where an official price list is published.
- Portugal: fees set by law for public institutions and the international student fees published by each institution.
- France: national registration fees and the programme pages of Parcoursup.
- Italy: fee regulations of each university. Fees depend on family income (ISEE), so we show a range from the lowest to the full fee.
- Germany: state rules on tuition and semester contributions, and the fees of private universities.
- Switzerland: semester fees published by each university.
- Czechia: fees of each faculty from the national register of programmes.
How yearly amounts are calculated
- A fee per ECTS credit is multiplied by 60, the standard number of credits in a full-time year.
- A fee per semester is multiplied by two.
- Amounts in Swiss francs and Czech crowns are converted to euros at a fixed rate recorded on the day the catalogue was built.
- The "typical" fee in a group of programmes is the median. Where the fee depends on income, the typical figure is the full fee.
Extra costs such as registration, insurance, student union contributions and living expenses are not included unless the source includes them in the fee.
Entry scores
Where a country publishes the score of the last admitted student (Spain, Portugal, part of Germany), we take it from the official admission lists. The score changes every year and only shows how competitive a programme was.
What can be wrong
Fees and rules change, and some sources are published once a year. A missing figure means we did not find it in an official source, not that the programme is free or open to everyone. Always check the official website of the university before you apply.
